The National Firewise Communities Programs is an interagency program designed to encourage
local solutions for wildfire safety by involving communities and firefighters in an effort
to protect people and property from the risk of wildfire. The CWPP (Community Wildfire Protection Plan)
completed in September 2005 rated the Elk Falls Ranch community as a HIGH on their hazard rating system.

Firewise is about mitigation… mitigation of your own property and participation in mitigation of our neighbors’ property if they need assistance.
