The Elk Falls Ranch Firewise Community was chartered on October 4, 2010. Elk Falls Firewise Community is a coordinated community effort committed to fire mitigation, education, mutual support and assisting neighbors to enhance the wildfire safety for residents, first responders and properties within Elk Falls. Efforts are sponsored by The National Firewise Communities Program, a division of the National Fire Protection Association with the support of the Colorado State Forest Service and Elk Creek Fire Protection District. All property owners within Elk Falls are automatically members of this committee. Your participation benefits the greater good of our beautiful neighborhood. The mission of Elk Falls Firewise Community includes:

Provide educational materials and events to our community regarding effective fire mitigation;

Seek out ways to assist our neighbors with their mitigation needs;

Encourage and facilitate better signage on all homes and streets;
|
|
Work with Elk Creek Fire Protection District, other State and Local agencies to enhance and support our efforts to make Elk Falls as “Firewise” and “fire safe” as possible.
